Rekha Gupta Takes Oath As Delhi CM What Star’s Foretell ?

Rekha Gupta, a first-time MLA from the BJP, was sworn in as Delhi CM, with Lt Governor VK Saxena administering the oath of office. Her appointment makes her the fourth woman to hold the position in Delhi, following BJP’s Sushma Swaraj, Congress’ Sheila Dikshit, and AAP’s Atishi.

Born in 1974 in Nandgarh village in Haryana’s Jind district, Gupta moved to Delhi with her family in 1976 when her father joined the State Bank of India. She pursued her education at Daulat Ram College, where she became involved with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, the student wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. In 1996, she was elected as the president of the Delhi University Students’ Union, making her the first DUSU office bearer to become Chief Minister of Delhi.
