INDIA TO CHINA: PROPOSAL TO STEP BACK FURTHER IS UNTENABLE, NOT ACCEPTABLE
THE FIFTH round of Corps Commander-level military talks failed to break the deadlock in the 14-week border crisis in eastern Ladakh after India rejected Chinese demands for further disengagement on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) as “untenable”, official sources told The Indian Express. Two days after the talks were held, the high-powered China Study Group (CSG) reviewed the Chinese proposal Tuesday and asked the Army to convey that the proposal of “mutual and equal” disengagement at Pangong was “not acceptable” to India. The message was delivered by the Army on a dedicated military hotline in Ladakh, sources said. The next step will be decided after a formal Chinese response is received and deliberations are held within the government, they said.
CURFEW IMPOSED IN ASSAM IN SEVERAL AREAS AFTER CLASHES BETWEEN 2 GROUPS AFTER BHOOMI PUJAN IN AYODHYA AS PREDICTED BY ME
A curfew was imposed on Wednesday in several areas of Sonitpur district in Assam after violent clashes erupted between two groups over a rally for Ram Mandir bhoomi pujan. The curfew has been clamped in areas under the Thelamara and Dhekiajuli police stations from 10 pm on August 5 until further notice. A four-wheeler vehicle and three motorcycles were torched by agitators in these areas.

78 KILLED IN BEIRUT
Death toll from a huge blast in port warehouses near central Beirut has gone up to 78. An additional 4,000 people have been injured in the attack.
In the fallout of the explosion, windows were smashed, and the ground shook in the capital city.
