Ashtmangla Prashna comprises of selecting a number between 111-888 and according tho this all the Parameters , Nakshatra, Day, Sign, Planet, Bhoota are calculated and seen for Malefic or Amrita yogas . This 3 digit number selected also gives accurate results for the Past, Present and the future
Ashtamangala Prashna- This is an elaborate and sophisticated methodology of preparing materials and tools for predictions through horary or prashna. The Name is given because materials for predictions are prepared in the presence of the 8 auspicious materials

Raw cloth is also added to this . The Result in the Horary are predicted with the help of the Prashna Rashi Chakra. In the Ashtamangala prashna the rashi Chakra is drawn systematically and is divined by worship. Then the Aaroodta ascendant is marked by divine process by using 108 cowries
Here in this Article we are going to discuss the Astamangala Number. Since the numbers are given importance in Ashtamangala it can also be considered as numberology related to Indian Astrology . The Astrologer takes out handful of cowries out of 108 cowries and keeps them in the front in the left , another handful in the middle and remaining on the right. The prevalent omens and examination of breath is noted. The Cowries kept at the 3 places are noted ignoring the multiples of 8 and considering the remainders only . The 3 digit number from the left to right is known as the Ashtamangala number and is used for various readings.
The hundredth digit is the past, 10th digit the present and the ones digit the future . Secondly these numbers at these 3 places represent the 3 planets
The remainders obtained represent the planets as below
Remainder Planet
1 Sun
2 Mars
3 Jupiter
4 Mercury
5 Venus
6 Saturn
7 Moon
8 Rahu
These planets are further related to Yonis, Animals and the 5 Elements
Now a days the Astrologer asks the querist to give a 3 digit number out of the above numbers mentioned only from 1 to 8 and a number between 111 to 888
For Example if we take the 3 digit number 138 Astrologers Ashtamangala 3 digit number between 111to 888 .
First Digit 8 indicates the future, south direction, Lord Shiva among dieties and bodily limbs below the hip and the Planet is Rahu
Middle Digit hundredth digit number 3 indicates the Present middle portion of the body, middle section, Lord Vishnu, the Querist and the Planet in this case is Jupiter
Left Digit ones is 1 here indicates Lord Bhrama, portion above head, past tense, perceptor, north and the Planet is Sun
Derivation of Ashtamangla Week Day, Lunar Days,Asterisms, Signs , Planets,, Primordial Elements from the Ashtamangla number and seen for Mrityu and Dagdha Yogas on the day of query.
If this Nakshatra is the 3rd, 5th or the 7th from the Birth nakshatra then the Answer for the Querist is not good . The Ashtamangla Nakshatra should not form a Mrityu Yoga with the week Day lord of the Query .
I use Ashtamangalam Prashna along with Arudha Navamsha Chakra, Prashna and Birth Charts and find almost 100 % Results .
